Week 25 - Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches and is weighing in at a pound and a half. He’s beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she’ll start to look more and more like a newborn. He’s also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you’d now be able to discern its color and texture.
Gender: We are waiting for the birth for the big reveal.
What My Body Is Doing: I’m mostly feeling really great. I get tired really easy, and I’ve started getting those awful leg cramps at night. I can’t even stop them like I used to be able to do. Other than that, I feel like I have to celebrate every time I poop.
Weight: 141 lbs, meaning I’ve gained 19 lbs.
Fetal Movement: All day every day. I can’t help but stare down at my stomach to watch it pop with every kick and punch. It’s so fun.
Cravings: Nothing at all.
Aversions: I haven’t tried any in months, but I’m assuming it’s still the citrus sodas.
What you miss: Getting back massages from my husband in which I could comfortably lay on my stomach.
Best moment this week: Getting Peanut to respond to my voice.
Look Forward To: I can’t wait to see the baby shifting positions from the outside. I can’t wait for my shower in June which my sister has been working so hard on, to be surrounded by all my friends and family, some which I haven’t seen in so long. There are so many things I look forward to - most of all, seeing our baby for the first time and hearing my doctor say either, “It’s a boy!” or “It’s a girl!”
